There have been some really text-heavy posts lately. For your sake and mine I thought it was time for something lighter on the words.
Not that there aren't stories behind the photos, there are. Siena was supposed to be the crowd-less version of Florence. So why at times we were pressed against the walls of buildings due to the multitude of people and cars? (yes cars)
Florence was supposed to be nothing more than a heaving mass of bodies and cameras and yet we could walk on the streets with our umbrellas up, rarely needing to lower them to make room for fellow pedestrians.
Just some of the things that make travel so interesting; you never know what you're going to get no matter how many travel guides you read.
Florence was rain, Siena was sunshine. Both were gorgeous of course. It's Italy.
